Treasury Department employees recently donated $300 to Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Lifeline fund for its clients.
Presented during the festive season, group spokesperson Jaira Barton said that each year staff members select a cause to support.
“The donated funds were profits from the Treasury staff’s snack shop which was established to raise funds for charity," she said.
DCFS Director Deanna Look Loy thanked the contributors for their generosity. “It’s wonderful that Treasury staffers made this sacrifice, in spite of the tough economic constraints being experienced throughout our community,” she said.
