During the festive season, Grand Cayman’s Casanova By the Sea Restaurant joined forces with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to provide 100 free lasagne meals, plus toys, to lift the spirit of needy families.
Casanova owner Tony Crescente said the restaurant’s first “Lasagne Giveaway” held on Sunday, 27 December, was the company’s way of reaching out to the community.Staff prepared cards for the DCFS to distribute to clients, who in turn visited the restaurant to collect meals and toys.
“It is so rewarding to give back to the community; all of us at Casanova truly enjoyed the spirit of the season by sharing with others,” Mr. Crescente said.
Expressing her appreciation, DCFS Director Deanna Look Loy noted that it was an innovative and thoughtful gesture on the restaurant’s part. “It is always gratifying to see companies come up with creative ways to show that they care,” she said.
