“I would encourage everybody to visit the museum. It’s packed with information about the Cayman Islands that is presented in a really exciting way,” His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Stuart Jack, CVO, commented.

Following a tour of the National Museum on Friday, 13 November, Mr. Jack lauded the staff and board for “doing a wonderful job” of preserving the historical building as well as depicting Cayman’s history through modern exhibits. “And for kids, there are lots of interactive displays with buttons to push,” he added.

The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Mariko Jack; head of the Governor’s office, Mr. Steve Moore; Social Secretary, Mrs. Jacqueline Hennings and RCIPS Auxiliary Officer, Mr. Lawrence Wood.

Escorting them through the exhibits and providing commentary were Museum Acting Director Mr. Doss Solomon, Exhibitions Manager Mr. Wray Banker and Education Coordinator Ms Nasaria Suckoo.
