Christian Heroes Feted

The public is invited to attended the National Heroes Day celebration on Monday, 25 January. The theme of the day will be Celebrating Our Christian Heritage.

Festivities during this fifth annual observance will focus on celebrating Cayman’s unique past. It will be held in Heroes Square, George Town, and the public should be seated by 9:30 a.m.

The day’s programme will include presentations of the Cayman Islands Certificate and Badge of Honour, as well as special awards to persons who exemplify the Islands’ Christian heritage.

Special guests will include His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Duncan Taylor, CBE, and family; the Hon. Premier, Mr. McKeeva Bush, OBE, JP; Deputy Governor Donovan Ebanks, MBE, JP; other government officials; and civic and religious leaders.

The dress code for the event is business attire. The day will include refreshments and live entertainment.
Motorists are asked to observe the temporary restrictions in the immediate area, as is customary during ceremonial events.
