The Information Commissioner’s Office is celebrating Right to Know Week.

This week (Monday, 27 September) GIS Spotlight celebrates your right to know, finds out what it takes to plan a census, and tells you how to lift your spirit.

Cayman’s second annual Right to Know Week will be celebrated from 27 September to 2 October under the theme Just ask...what you need to know.

GIS Spotlight takes a look at the planned events and speaks to Information Commissioner Jennifer Dilbert. She reveals what information people request most frequently and encourages people to use the Freedom of Information Law.

With mere weeks until the start of Census 2010, we join the planning team to find out what they had to do to be ready. You’ll hear more about the questionnaires, census worker training and what part you play in the national count.

Is the fast pace, recession and everything else getting to you? Join us for a visit to the Department of Counselling Services where we ask the experts how to recognise stress. We also share some simple stress management strategies that will lift the weight off your shoulders.

Produced by Government Information Services, GIS Spotlight highlights government’s services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you.

The weekly programme now airs on Cayman27 at 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, and 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. All the stories seen in this week’s show can also be found on the GIS Marketing and Communications website: www.gis.ky.

Comments and suggestions about the programme are always welcome. Viewers can provide feedback by e-mailing Spotlight [at] gov [dot] ky .
