This hurricane season promises to be busy, prompting GIS Spotlight to explore the Islands’ evacuation plans for both visitors and residents. We talk to the experts at Hazard Management Cayman Islands and the Cayman Islands Airports Authority to find out how and when they will evacuate people in the face of an approaching storm. Also, discover the lessons officials learned from past hurricanes and find out what you should know and do this storm season.
Our next stop is the John A. Cumber Primary School where volunteers with the Do Something World-Cayman Festival made a lasting impact by adding 3,500 sq. ft. of classroom space. Tune in as we explore how this project will benefit students, teachers and the wider community.
