This week GIS Spotlight visits the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS)’s employment workshop where job seekers were counselled on the secrets of landing a full-time position.

“Sustained employment is one of the key elements in people leading crime-free lives,” says Employment Development Outreach Coordinator Jean Solomon. This is why the RCIPS decided to host a one-day workshop for the public, aimed at helping jobseekers boost their confidence during interviews.
You will also find out how to maximize your employment potential through more effective methods of job searching, résumé and cover letter writing, developing interview skills, choosing appropriate attire and adopting suitable behaviour for the workplace.

Then it’s off to Boatswain’s Beach to see how everyone can contribute to securing our marine turtles’ future, simply by participating in the attraction’s adoption programme.
Hear how you can become a ‘proud parent’ of a turtle, bird, shark or even a crocodile. We talk to Terrestrial Exhibits & Education Programmes Curator Geddes Hislop on the privileges ‘parents’ receive and also discuss the difference your adoption will make.
