Flags on all government buildings are at half mast, to honour a respected former minister.

The Cayman Islands flag at the Government Administration Building was lowered this morning (Tuesday, 23 February) in honour of the late Capt. Charles Kirkconnell, OBE, JP.

Attending the ceremony were His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Duncan Taylor, CBE; the Premier, the Hon. McKeeva Bush, OBE, JP; Members of Cabinet; MLAs; and members of Capt. Charles’ family.

The Cayman Islands flag will continue to fly at half-mast on all government buildings each day, until sunset on Friday, 25 February.

Capt. Kirkconnell was a former government minister, and an MLA representing the Sister Islands. He passed away on 19 February.
